THE NEW STANDARD of food dye
stain removal
Q. WHAT MAKES JUICE BUSTER DIFFERENT FROM OTHER STAIN REMOVERS?
A. It simply works. It
removes more...far more...basic food dye stains than any other product weÕve
found. Unlike other stain removers, Juice Buster does not rely on common
peroxides (which can distort carpet color) or solvents (which could damage
carpet fibers). Juice Buster utilizes several new and unique sulfur-oxides with
other special ingredients uncommon to todayÕs carpet cleaning industry.
Q. WHY IS JUICE BUSTER
UNIQUE?
A. Juice Buster is the only
non-solvent based product in existence developed exclusively for Kool-Aid¨ and
basic food dye removal.
Q. HOW COME IÕVE NEVER
HEARD OF IT?
A. Because itÕs new! After a year of extensive testing and
proven results, Juice Buster was introduced to the market. The response to our
product has been outstanding.
Q. JUICE BUSTER HAS BEEN PROVEN EFFECTIVE ON WHAT MATERIALS?
A. Both natural and man-made
fabrics including nylon, polyester, and wool.
Q. WHAT EQUIPMENT IS REQUIRED TO REMOVE KOOL-AID¨ STAINS AND OTHER FOOD STAINS?
A. A non-teflon coated steam
iron will suffice. It should be filled with water and temperature be set on
medium. For reduced labor obtain an iron which has the largest heated surface
area.
Q. HOW MUCH TIME IS
REQUIRED TO REMOVE KOOL-AID¨ STAINS AND OTHER FOOD STAINS?
A. Generally a stain as
large as the surface area of an iron requires about 5 to 7 minutes, results
vary depending on carpet density, stain size and concentration. Experienced
stain removers maintain nearly dry carpet throughout the stain removal and
avoid over saturation.
Q. WHAT IS THE SHELF LIFE
OF JUICE BUSTER?
A. One year in sealed
package. Juice Buster is also effective even after it is frozen.
Q. HOW DOES THE FOOD DYE
RELEASE FROM THE CARPET?
A. Initially Juice Buster
surrounds the fibers. A hot iron placed onto the towel generates heat until the
chemical reaches its boiling temperature. At this time Juice Buster becomes a
reducing agent for food dyes, very much like paint thinner reduces paints. Once
this environment is established, food dye becomes released from the carpet
fiber. ÒReleasedÓ food dye is absorbed into the towel as it dries from constant
heat and pressure.
Q. HOW IS IT PACKAGED?
A. Juice Buster is packaged
in pint bottles, each containing 16 ounces of chemical. The Juice Buster
procedure requires that the chemical only moistens the carpet rather than
complete saturation.
Q. MUST STAINS BE RINSED PRIOR TO THE JUICEBUSTER PROCEDURE?
A. Rinsing prior to stain
removal is necessary only when inferior chemicals are present from previous
attempts to remove the stain.
Q. DOES THE AGE OF THE
STAIN MAKE ANY DIFFERENCE?
A. None whatsoever. Juice
Buster removes year-old stains as effectively as those one day old.
Q. IS IT POSSIBLE TO
REDYE OVER
PREVIOUSLY REMOVED
KOOL-AID¨ STAINS?
A. Yes, although we
recommend a thorough rinsing of any excess chemical, Juice Buster has a stable
ph of 7, and there are no problems associated with carpet redying.
Q. AFTER STAIN REMOVAL
HOW LONG UNTIL THE FIBERS DRY?
A. Less than one hour. Upon completion of a successful stain
transfer, the fibers should be nearly dry.
